We've spent the past few weeks sorting out the back garden, building raised beds in the front garden for vegetables and putting up the new greenhouse.

Helping out

Posh and Pecks helped us when it came to lowering the ground socket for the rotary washing line. At least they thought they did.

Surveying the area

As I dug the ground socket up which had been placed in concrete, the girls checked the area for worms and other edible things. A job that should have only took about 15 minutes end up taking 45 minutes. Some help!

Final inspection

Once I'd lowered and repositioned the ground socket I placed some grass on top from the front garden for the girls to munch on.

Job done

Some advice when undertaking small gardening projects. When chickens are running about get some hard helmets for the chickens or keep them in the run Oh, and add about twice as much time as orginally estimated to get anything done!
